The character has a knowledge of all things arcane. He may know manuscripts, artifacts, and events all of which he would then need the appropriate skill (Ancient Manuscripts, Artifacts, History) in order to further understand. It will also help identify spells and spell effects, magic items, and anything else that has to do with the identification of the expenditure and use of magical energies.
