There is some supernatural link connecting this creature to something in the physical world. This could be a Litch’s connection to its phylactery, or a Ghost that is connected to its bones. It cannot pass more than a set distance from this item, and destruction of the item will release the Connected status of the creature. Every creature reacts differently to this broken bond. A ghost whose Connection is broken may disappear, be released, or be able to pass on to the next world, whereas a Litch will be destroyed.
