Description[]
Fire Elementals are sentient Spectral entities which control the element of Fire. They appear in the physical world as a ball of fire in somewhat humanoid form with glowing red eyes. Some take humanoid form, and in this case they appear as slender young men with black hair, grey eyes, and very reddish skin. In this form these elementals are referred to as Salamanders.

Modus Operandi[]
Fire Elementals exist to assert a balance in nature, but very frequently they will be summoned and brought under the will of a magician. In either case, they will exist in this plane of existence long enough to complete whatever task they have at hand and will then disappear.
Neutralization[]
Allow them to finish their task or help them to do so. If it is not a task one would care to have them finish, they can be defeated using magick or by snuffing them out physically using the opposing element. In this case, it would be Water, which will instantly snuff out any body part it touches. Complete submersion will destroy the creature.
Story Seed[]
Throughout the years, many people have been sacrificed to Ifrit by a cult that uses the old furnace in the basement of a morgue crematorium to submit their sacrifices to their god. These angry souls have combined with the fires of the furnace to create a Fire Elemental that has been wreaking havoc in town, incinerating the homes of every one of the cult members even with the other family members being completely innocent. As much as they deserve their punishment, this needs to stop.
