Location[]

The Void behind the moon

Appearance[]

Fenris appears as a huge blood-red wolf, hairless, but covered in armor scales that are actually his overgrown bones protruding from his flesh. He is large enough to fill a quarter of the night’s sky, and even when not physical will blot out the stars with his spectrous shadow.

Lair[]

Fenris will hide wherever his cult can find a place for him, although it may be difficult for them to
find a place large enough.

History[]

Fenris, the son of the Norse trickster god Loki, was bound up in Asgard long ago, and there is
guarded by Tyr. However, legend tells of a time when he will grow too large for his bonds, and will break free. Some stories say that this will occur at Ragnarok, during which he will kill Odin and then be slain. However, aspiring magicians under the influence of Loki can attempt to make his escape come before the end of time...

Modus Operandi[]

As the bonds holding Fenris grow weaker, he begins to alert the world that he is coming. Some nights, as his cult chants away the rituals of his beckoning, Fenris can be seen to leap across the stars and devour the full moon. The image will last only a moment, and may surprise or frighten some (Fear Roll, target number 50), but will alert all those who see it that Fenris is coming.
