Description[]
A Lycanthrope, also known as a Loup Garou, but much better known as a Werewolf, is a creature created by being bit by another creature cursed with such an affliction. It appears in normal human form much of the time, although it will have severe scarring in the place where it was bitten. However, on the night of the full moon, it will transform, using its Limited Shapeshifting ability, into the werewolf. This change is completely unwilling, and may be resisted by a Willpower roll opposed by the success rank of the Shapechanging roll. Often, the werewolf's human form does not know what it does while in were-form, and may not even be aware that it is changing. In werewolf form, it appears as an 8-foot tall humanoid wolf.

Modus Operandi[]
The werewolf will hunt the night of its transformation, killing and eating whatever it can find to fulfill its need for blood. It will use every ability at its disposal to kill its victim. If a victim is bitten, but not killed, he will become cursed by the contagion of the wolf, becoming a werewolf himself starting at the next full moon. When the moon sinks below the horizon the next morning, the werewolf instantly reverts to physical form.
Neutralization[]
A werewolf, being a physical creature, can be killed using ordinary means, but it has very strong resistances and doing so may be very difficult. The best way to kill a werewolf is with silver weapons, which not only defeat its resistances but cause it sustained damage over time. If it has a silver weapon inside of it, it will go so far as to claw or bite it out of itself. If the creature is destroyed, it will instantly revert back to its human form, dead. The only way to undo the curse of the wolf is to hunt down and kill the creature that caused it.
Story Seed[]
The CIA contacts a famed parapsychologist and contract him to find out what has happened to a patient. He goes with them to meet the patient, and finds there the Prime Minister of England, who was visiting the states on a diplomatic trip and woke up naked and bloody in a field. His aide was found nearby, his throat ripped out.
