Description[]
Peddlers are entities that look like oddly disproportionate humans. They often dress in a single color (although in cases they have been known to dress like clowns), are bald, have perfect (almost fake-looking) pale white skin, and normally appear as males roughly 40 years of age.

In suburbs, although in history they were best known to haunt woods near small towns.
Modus Operandi[]
Peddlers feed on the blood of children, because they have evolved in such a way that they are best suited for capturing human children. They look enough like humans that they can even be part of human society, although they most likely couldn’t hold jobs, and normally survive on inheritance money that their ancestors somehow weaseled or stole. They have been known to live in old houses (they are sometimes confused by ESPER agents as Mean Old Men) and can drive vehicles (two well-known vehicles frequently used by Peddlers are windowless vans and ice cream trucks). They will interact with children and gain their trust using whatever methods they have at their disposal. They will kidnap the child and feed off its fear for a month or so and then finally use its Devour ability to eat the child in one bite (they dislocate their jaw and swallow it like a large snake). They continue this pattern until the locals catch on to them, and then they disappear and start a new life somewhere else.
Neutralization[]
Being physical, Peddlers can be defeated physically. They use trickery as their main weapon, however.
Story Seed[]
A local ice cream truck is found abandoned, and six children are found tied up in the back. The owner of the truck is found dead miles away.
