The target takes on all the aspects of the shape it has been shifted to, but shifting a person into a different person will not change his knowledge, memories, or skills. The new object will be made of the same substances as the original. Thus, if a person turned into a baseball, the baseball would be made of meat, although it would have the same look and texture of a ball. Cutting it open would reveal the shocking truth.
